Lighting – heat-resistant and highly transparent

The lighting industry has long been a major customer for our films. Transparent and translucent grades of Makrofol® and Bayfol® are particularly popular – above all special light-diffusing grades. They are used to make items such as lampshades. In addition to these “conventional” applications, our films also have a promising future in the “light management” of new technologies – for example as diffuser films in liquid crystal displays (LCDs) and light extraction films in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs).
