Makrofol® DE 4-4, a film tailor-made for graphics applications, is used in the flip displays that keep passengers informed on Swiss railroad platforms. The extruded PC film is made in the customer’s specified colorfast shade of blue. The surface finish and gloss level are the same on both sides of the film and very consistent. The high-contrast print image on the flip-over sections, which are screen-printed on both sides, is uniform, precise, and easy to read from all angles. Compared with large LCD and LED displays, it is easier to display characters, symbols and logos in different colors. The film is dimensionally stable and heat resistant. This ensures that the flip-over mechanism operates reliably with little maintenance in both hot and cold conditions. The displays are made by Passenger Electronics AG (PEL). Our sales partner Coloprint tech-films is the project developer and supplies the 350 micrometer thick film.
