Information technology is one of the major areas of application for Makrofol®, Bayfol®, Marnot™* and ProTek™*. Our films are used to make items such as cell phone, telephone and personal stereo housings and cell phone keypads – often with the help of film insert molding. They make it possible to produce very thin-walled components with excellent surface quality. Methods such as screen or offset printing can be used to print the back of the film, thus protecting the pattern against abrasion and scratching. With special translucent or transparent film grades, components can be designed in backlit technology. Another advantage of our films is the fact that they can be cold-formed using high-pressure forming. This enables printed symbols to be positioned very accurately.
