Makrofol® ID Combiflex is a film for cards that simplifies the process of embedding hard components, such as an antenna made of copper wire or a microchip. This is made possible by a layer of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) on one side of the film. A soft, elastic TPU encloses the hard components inside the card during the lamination process, thus providing effective long-term protection against damage through bending or pressure. The excellent chemical resistance of TPU, together with its high tear and tear propagation resistance, help extend the service life of the cards. The good media resistance of the new film widens the processing window for card production.
