We have expanded our Makrofol® ID product range for high-contrast laser printing. As well as matte varieties, we now also offer high-gloss film formulations. These are particularly suitable for post-manufacture precision labeling or marking of pre-decorated two- or three-dimensional components. For instance, symbols or dark edges can be added to transparent visors and displays, and logos can also be placed on the front of film components that are already decorated on the back. As well as being ideal for laser inscription, the new films exhibit all the properties typical of Makrofol® ID. For example, they are extremely strong and dimensionally stable – even at high temperatures. They can be printed in brilliant colors with the greatest of ease by offset or screen printing using standard inks suitable for polycarbonates. They can also be easily punched and formed.
