Polycarbonate films that truly satisfy the individual design whims of end users can now be produced cost-effectively using Makrofol® LaserPrint.
This new film can be printed with excellent color quality and resolution on standard color laser printers that use dry toners. The design is digitally generated and transferred directly to the monolayer film. As a result, motifs can be interchanged quickly, and even one-off designs and personalized motifs can be produced cost effectively, right down to a run of one.

The film can be formed and back-injected using standard processes. It offers great potential in the IT, electrical/electronics and consumer products and printing industries – for example for housing parts for telephones and for labels with barcodes. Possible applications in automotive engineering include facings and decorated panels for air-conditioning systems and gearshift knobs. What’s more, the film enables personalization of personal documents such as driver’s licenses and passports in full color.
