Part design:Autoclaves are gas-proof, sealable pressure containers used, for example, in the food and pharmaceutical industries. They are cleaned meticulously after each use and often sterilized with steam as well. As a result, any lettering or labeling on the containers must obviously be able to withstand a great deal of wear and tear. The Munich-based company SIEBE SYSTEM-INTEGRATION has developed laser-writable labels based on Makrofol® TP 236. Thanks to this polycarbonate film, a laser can be used to inscribe the labels with precise, high-contrast details such as barcodes. The print image is created beneath the surface of the film and this ensures long-term protection from scratches and the effects of chemicals. As the film is so transparent, the image can be easily read by all types of scanners. The labels can withstand temperatures of between -60 °C and +140 °C and are available as a film or pre-mounted on a stainless steel blank. The blanks can be spot welded to the containers in a matter of seconds. The labels can also be attached using a special silicon rubber adhesive. Detailed Information: Product: Makrofol |
